So plenty of companies are talking about going green, but here at UOE we’ve grabbed it and given it a big hug. And, working with Carbon Smart we're pushing hard to reduce our carbon emissions in every way we can. In addition our entire warehouse network is certified to ISO9001 and ISO14001 for systems and environmental standards.

Being Carbon Smart means taking an intelligent and flexible approach to reducing our carbon footprint. Carbon Smart® status independently certifies the practical actions we have taken to actively reduce our environmental impact and we hope demonstrates our commitment to customers, staff and suppliers.

Sadly, almost everything we do results in CO2 emissions – having a cup of coffee, taking a holiday, reading this website – so reducing our emissions is a daunting prospect. But on the up-side, every tonne we avoid emitting will reduce the risk of global warming getting worse. And while we can't stop the effects of emissions that have already taken place, we’re determined to concentrate on positively influencing the future.

As you can imagine, doing a carbon footprint for our whole business is a big job but we've acheived this and have begun a tough, 3 year plan to reduce our emissions. Parts of our business are already reaching carbon-neutral levels (such as QuickDrop), and we are working hard to get to these levels across the rest of the group too.

We’ve added over 3000 environmentally approved products to our range this year alone and we’re working hard to ensure that every step of our supply chain is focused on reducing our environmental impact. You can also view a list of how we're working to help the environment.
