Hertford welcomed its new post office to the town, ready to help customers at Christmas.
The branch, situated inside UOE’s newest retail Store offers stationery as well as a wide range of Post Office services including a Bureau de Change. The branch also plans to open its co-working office space on the first floor in June 2016.
Elliot Jacobs, Postmaster said: “We opened now because if it was any later, we would have missed the Christmas rush and that wasn’t an option! We wanted to be open in time to help our customers get Christmas sorted.”
Customers will be introduced to the branch’s retail offering as well. Alongside the stationery shop, it also boasts a café, which is likely to attract extra patrons, especially since it opens seven days a week.
“We will make it better for customers by making sure we give them the right service at the right price. We have to be ready for Christmas as our customers have high expectations,” Elliot added.
Elliot featured on BBC Newcastle, Big City Radio, and Yorkshire Coast Radio this morning telling listeners more about how we are helping customers get their Christmas sorted and what it’s like working in a branch this year.
Elliot was joined on BBC Oxford by Catherine Steer from Fritwell Post Office in Oxfordshire who discussed how she was getting set for the Christmas rush.
