UOE to feature in BBC2 documentary

UOE have been confirmed as one of the retail stories to be told in a forthcoming 3-part series entitled “The Post Office” on BBC2 which will chart the modernisation and transformation of the Post Office.

The Post Office is going through one of the biggest transformations in its near 400 year history after the government committed almost £2bn of funding to help it modernise its network of around 11,500 branches.

Produced by leading independent production house Blast! the series will visit a number of post offices as well as showing UOE’s existing store at East Finchley as well as following the team as they work to launch a new branch at Potters Bar, Hertfordshire in a very tight timeline.

The documentary will include a mix of interviews with staff and customers as its chart the everyday goings on at the high street.

‘The Post Office’ is expected to air in mid-2015.
