UOE and the Post Office have confirmed today that their next combined store will open at Potters Bar, Hertfordshire on 26th February 2015.
The store will be located at Units 5-6, The Sainsbury’s Centre, Darkes Lane, Potters Bar EN6 1AU (just 200 metres from the current post office location, which will close the night before and reopen at UOE’s new location without any interuption in service to customers).
The store, UOE’s second to open in the past 12 months, is part of UOE’s strategic plan to expand its retail presence to a dozen branches around and within the M25 by end of 2017.
Elliot Jacobs, Managing Director of UOE, commented “we have created a retail concept that is delivering significant financial success, jobs for local people as well as providing the local community and small businesses with an essential service”.
Already forecasting to serve over 600,000 retail and Post Office customers this year, Jacobs also confirmed UOE had its sights set on passing the 1million customer mark in 2015 with plans already submitted for a third location just north of London which they are shortlisted and awaiting decision on the franchise from the Post Office.
“Our concept is highly scalable and with continued support of the Post Office we would love to have three locations operational by the end of Q3 2015 in time for the busy Christmas season”.
UOE will also feature in a 3-part documentary later this year on BBC2 charting the opening of Potters Bar as part of a series entitled “The Post Office”.
